所有一般的生物化学仪器都能够测量溶血指数(HI)，供应商为每一项分析提供一个可接受的HI，而不考虑分析物的价值或其临床应用。研究人员的第一个目标是测量溶血程度对血浆生化和免疫化学分析物的影响，以确定每种分析物的最大允许HI，使用四种计算方法作为与制造商数据比较的显著偏差。第二个目的是评估最大容许HI是否根据分析物值而变化。

本研究在溶血处理后的血浆中测定了20个分析物，以确定HI与基线值相比的显著变化。根据溶血的敏感性和临床影响，将分析物评估为1个(3个)、2个(5个)和3个(12个)值。研究人员使用四种计算方法作为重要的基线值上下限，包括总变化限制(TCL), 10%的变化(Δ10%),分析改变限制和参考价值。

根据为大多数分析物选择的阈值，允许的H显著不同，并且还取决于碱性磷酸酶，丙氨酸氨基转移酶，天冬氨酸氨基转移酶，肌酸激酶，铁，触珠蛋白和高敏感性肌钙蛋白T的分析物值。即使HI值为11 g / L也未观察到白蛋白的溶血干扰，肌酐，C反应蛋白和降钙素。

这项研究强调，使用Roche Diagnostics的Cobas 8000©，TCL是实际确定生化和免疫化学参数允许HI的最合适的计算方法。 此外，根据分析物值发现了不同的允许HI，从而优化了重采样以节省患者护理时间。
